Indonesian Oud

Indonesian Oud is prized for its dark, earthy and naturally complex character. It comes from the resinous heartwood of Aquilaria trees found throughout the Indonesian archipelago.

The journey begins when the tree undergoes a natural transformation. In response to injury and microbial activity, the tree gradually forms aromatic resin within its heartwood. As the resin develops over time, the wood becomes darker, denser and increasingly fragrant.

Traditionally, selected resin-rich wood is carefully aged and processed before being distilled, allowing its precious aromatic compounds to be captured as Oud oil.
